Well, well, well here we are another few years under our belt.

Much has changed in our lives and in our beloved homeland of

The United States of America

When the election of 2020 occurred it was a devastating realization

that we have been lied to our entire lives. Of course the precursor 

to the failed election was the covid plandemic - and here we are 3 years later

where people are dropping dead -supposedly with no clue as to why.

This is of course just beginning to be acknowledged in some parts

of the world as being due to the arm prick that is being forced upon all the 

inhabitants of earth. 

Farmers being paid to destroy crops, farmland being grabbed up by 

the powers that be, fires mysteriously wiping out food processing plants, 

herds and flocks being destroyed.

 Worldwide famine is being orchestrated. News of human trafficking is rampant,

I'm certain some day we may know the entire extent of evil running rampant.

In the meantime rest assured God is still in control, He knows everything 

and we must hold close the promises of God. Be strong and encourage others.

Do not go around pointing fingers at false prophets- just do as the Lord leads.

This is what the Bible says about the end times.

Revelation 18:11-13

11 “The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise any more: 12 the merchandise of gold, silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen, purple, silk and scarlet, all kinds of scented wood, all artifacts of ivory, all merchandise of costly wood, bronze, iron, and marble; 13 and cinnamon and incense, myrrh and frankincense, wine, oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and slaves and souls of men.

we are seeing all of this. 

Here it is September of 2018 

So many changes have come in the past month.

Most I can't broadcast here but I have many more responsibilities

than I had even a mere month ago.

We are trying to get the school year off the ground.

My Ebay store is popping and stocked for the 

last quarter of the year and it looks like 

I may be getting a part time job as well.

One of my dearest friends passed away last week 

the next day the first piano teacher I ever had passed away.

Visitations and memorial services are on the agenda-

I sure hope this hub bub all lets up for a while. 

Luckily my niece had her precious little girl the

day after that - which had been a rocky pregnancy-so it was a definite

answer to prayer. What a cute little doll she turned out to be. 

All the while we are adjusting to our new church home,

meeting new people, learning new worship tunes, and learning to 

play with some really nice technology-never had the 

privilege of playing with the other instruments

and a metronome right in my ears. 

My buddy George would be so impressed-although

He wouldn't need any of that-his mantra was practice, practice, practice.

Life sure can throw a curve ball when least expected. 

Here we are about to embark on yet another venture.

I am looking forward to it although I am sure it won't go nearly as 

smoothly as I hope. 

The best thing about this whole thing is that

I will really get to use my creativity

to the fullest.

We have pulled our son, Titus, out of public school.

We did not make a hasty decision,

it is one that we discussed for quite sometime,

unsure how things would turn out in middle school.

You see Titus has autism and he struggles academically.

What we didn't know going into 6th grade-our

school system's middle school-

is that if the student can't keep up on grade level

they are pulled off of diploma track. There is minimal help

and in reality there isn't any support, except having an

 aide sit there and keep the child on track.

If that is unsuccessful then the brow beating begins and 

we just want so much more for our son.

Of course that means I am giving up my job in order to stay home.

The irony of it is that the school system has much trouble 

finding and keeping subs and other support staff.

And yet because we weren't fully made aware of 

the expectations, they are going to loose one more employee.

I realize I am not at all perfect, but I love kids and 

can manage them quite well. In fact this is why I 

was offered the Title One Aide position.

It also allowed the school to put me in a classroom if no

other sub picked up the job.

We have a daughter in 7th grade that does quite well

for herself and understands what the boundaries

with the school are. She knows when they are prying and 

realizes there are times when the school is

trying to get more information out of kids than is healthy. 

We are making many preparations including the obvious like 

choosing curriculum-or shall we say what course of learning we 

will embark on, rearranging the house and adjusting schedules.

Hang on tight because we are ready for take off!!!

Memorial Day 2013

What a blur the last few years have been.

We are starting our 3rd flock of chickens, the kids are in 4th and 5th grade, hubby has a new job, I survived breast cancer, and a heart attack.

I haven't done any sewing or crafting in that amount of time either, so I have started to clear out all the fabric scraps and things that I feel I have no time for now.

It's not that I wouldn't want to sew but with my treatments and my husband's surgeries I have needed to work as much as possible in order to pay off medical bills.

I started substitute teaching last Oct. and pretty much work everyday.

Life is good though and the Lord has been ever faithful.

I am so looking forward to the summer break although I realize that in the next few weeks I will be scrambling to get the garden planted and get 4-H projects done.

So hard to believe that the fair will start on June 28th-seems too early and getting veggies to grow by then is going to be iffy.

We are in the process of trying to sell off a few chickens so we don't have to 

butcher so many this time around.

 7 days of school left and then I will be starting summer school homeschooling.

This is an effort to avoid sending the kids to summer school which in 

my opinion robs the kids of  their break.

I suppose I better get organized for that too.

LET'S TRY THIS AGAIN!

It's hard to believe I haven't blogged since last year.

I've been on the Facebook kick, but I don't believe it's my cup-o-tea!

I do like reading others' updates though.

My kids are not wanting to return to school tomorrow. They went for a week then we headed off for vacation for 2 weeks. We went to Washington D.C. and attended the Restoring Honor Rally. There were hundreds of thousands of people there and it was actually quite relaxing. We planned well though and parked early and hopped the first Metro train at 7 AM that day. We really beat the crowds.

Although I must say that LOTS of other people did the same thing we did. We grabbed a seat under some trees and that helped alot, we were situated by 8 AM and the rally started at 10 then ran till about 1:30.

Very good message- GET BACK TO GOD!

Bring your children up to know what it is that God expects of them.

Faith, hope, and love- The greatest of these is love-put these values into practice-that is change we can believe in and need so desperately in this country!

We did just 2 days of sightseeing in DC, one day of ocean going then headed off to New Jersey and then proceeded to Philly to see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, oh yes and the U.S. Mint. Of course we had to return to the ocean one more time-the kids really love the waves. Just too bad the threat of a hurricane put a dampener on things!

But everyone wanted to come home early so we cut it short by 2 days, I'm still tired but can't sleep so here I am!!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR JESUS

The kids are now in the shower getting ready for church. Kaylee is excited about the Birthday party for Jesus. They will play games etc...

Titus on the other hand really doesn't care for that sort of thing, too much activity.

He'll do OK though because we have wonderful people there to handle the kids.

Only three more days of school left until break. This means I better wrap lots of gifts the next couple of days so I'm not doing it on Christmas Eve.

I have all kinds of things I'd like to do for the season like bake cut out cookies, make some paper cutout ornaments and decorate some more eggs.

Today I went to Once Upon a Child with a bunch of stuff and they bought everything I took in. I had iceskates, a Build a Bear, doll house, foam puzzle, Tot-Loc chair, brand new diapers(cloth), a board game, ballet slippers, two books, you get the idea just a bunch of different stuff. The best part was the $40 some dollars they gave me in exchange...hope to take more in soon!

Carmel Corn disappointment!!

What a huge disappointment, both batches turned out grainy---ugh!!! Too bad teachers are getting it anyway. It'll still taste good but what a bummer. Steven finally has his facebook up- yeah!! It'll be good for him to post something now and then.

I've only got to assemble the teacher's gifts and plan on delivering them early. I still have to make the ornaments. I am doing egg ornaments from the green eggs our precious little easter egger chickens are laying!!

Christmas Cantata

Well here it is the night before our Christmas Cantata and I can't believe this month is nearly half over. Tonight was Steven's work Christmas party at the Elcona Country Club but he has been sick since last night:(

It's OK because the party just started an hour ago and I've been ready for bed for longer than that.

I took the kids out shopping for a bit just to get some odds and ends like ribbons and bows. I also picked up some very fine white glitter for the egg ornaments I plan on decorating. We are getting one to two eggs per day that are green. I've been blowing them out because I just can't bring myself to bust 'em up. The brown eggs really are pretty too, all different shades of brown. Some are even a bit pink looking.

Tomorrow after church I plan on making carmel corn for the teachers' gifts - then I can get those gathered together.

Harvest Happiness

Despite the fact that both kids are sick and I now have a sore throat and headache, I am so thankful for the provisions God has given us.

We are warm, well fed, and still have the right to speak our minds.

It has been very stressful with the new president trying to change the fundamentals of our nation. It wouldn't be so disturbing, but he has so many radicals doing his bidding. I really doubt he has what it takes to make the difficult decisions. Although I do believe he agrees with "changing" this nation. The sad part is the middle class will most likely suffer-because pardon the pun "we're stuck in the middle".

I absolutely adore Sarah Palin!!!

She is a super class act. We need more gutsy patriots out there to stand up and say what needs to be said & done to save our country!!!

My copy of "Going Rogue" should arrive any day now and I am looking forward to it! (Early Christmas)

I dabated for a long time about whether or not to put political opinions on The Witmer Chronicle, but I do believe I can not stay silent any longer.

Most of all I credit God, The One True God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, with giving me the strength to have come this far in my life and with restoring to me the quality of life that I really don't deserve. My goal is to serve Him not only in my heart but with my entire life-in anything I pursue.

Thank you Lord Jesus, Amen!!

Time to update!

Well I feel it is time to get back to tending the blog! We have been so busy.

For breakfast I fixed apple raisin pancakes.

Yesterday I made these little butter cookies.

Labor Day week-end we went camping, but the highlight was the local stop by the national Tea Party Express rally!

UPCOMING WEDDING

Well this last couple weeks has been a flurry of activity around here. Still working on converting the shed to a chicken coop, putting in the garden, picnics, and of course dealing with the end of the school year. Given Titus' condition, he's adapting somewhat to school being out but I can tell he's out of sorts. Today I started table time - doing handwriting and will also be doing spelling and mathematics. Right now I'm gearing up to play some sort of game with the kids.
I just read the other day that autistic children tend not to do so well with games that they are suppopsed to keep something secret while playing, I never really thought of it but I do see what they mean. Titus is entering 1st grade at the top of his class, best reader and advanced in math. Now we just need to conquer the social skills. He's talking alot more and when explaining something to him he can put it into his own words.
This weekend is Steven's oldest boys' wedding, this will be in Indy so we'll be staying at the KOA down there. Additionally Andrew (whom Steven hasn't had contact with for over three years) dropped a letter off here expressing his desire to patch things up with his father-so this is a great time of rejoicing!!
Well it's time for a game so I better run!

BUSY BUSY

We have been very busy getting ready to erect the chicken coop. In the mean time Kaylee has kept herself busy with catching all kinds of critters. Here is one:

I am telling you these are WILD!! Canadian Geese can get pretty nasty she is lucky they didn't attack her for snatching their little one day old chick!

The kids are quite amused with the baby chicks we brought home - this is one of the favorite little RIDES the chicks get once in a while.

TEA PARTY TOMORROW!!!

Well here it is already April 14th. Nearly 4 months since my last post but we've been terrribly busy. I have a couple assignments left and will be graduating May 5th (or6th) whichever is a Friday. We had a nice Easter and I now have drywall up and painted in my dining room. NEVER AGAIN will we do drywall, it nearly killed us. Although I am thrilled to have my pantry now in operation. I am still cleaning up drywall dust and have to get the dining room table back where it belongs. I did learn that I am sick of having so much stuff-move it here move it there-blah, blah, blah...it's another killer. Am gearing up for a yard sale whenever it decides to get decent enough to tolerate one.
We are planning on participating in our local Tea Party- we definately are Taxed Enough Already. It runs for 4 hours but I don't think our 6 year old can take it that long. I do want to go for a while at least. Hubby will be there longer with his older son, it's time we stop this nonsense in Washington and even locally. We watch every penny we spend and our public -so called servants- can't balance an office budget. Mr. Obama needs to realize he did not win by landslide-only by slightly more votes and we need security and morals-not more legislation. I find it completely apalling that nearly every member of his cabinet has fishy smelling backgrounds-with improprieties every where you look. They get caught on tape doing something and then claim they didn't do it. Like he didn't bow to the other ruler-Obama is supposed to be so educated-so how could he be so stupid??? Liars can not be trusted and shouldn't be tolerated.


I have come to terms with the fact that this great nation The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ONE NATION UNDER GOD, may have seen her better days and it grieves me to think that my children will suffer for the sins of the rulers that have been elected to serve us. We need to teach our children as much of the Word of God as possible and prepare them for HIS honor. This reminds me of the song we sang as children " I may never march in the infantry ride in the calvery, shoot the artillery. I may never fly or'e the enemy but I'm in the Lord's army. " We should be doing this anyway but the turbulance of the end times is closing in upon us and we need to be prepared.

On a lighter note we have decided to get some laying hens, so our next project is to put up the shed we bought to house them in and figure out how we lay out the fencing and soforth. The chicks should be here in about 2 weeks. We ordered 2 turkeys, silverlaced wyandottes, easter eggers, Rhode Island reds, and black astrolorps. This should be fun and we realize it's alot of work, but hey why not???

Christmas Goodies

I know it has been forever since I posted last. Classes really got me bogged down, but now this semester is over and I aced them so I can relax and enjoy until Jan.Can you believe that Christmas is just around the corner???

I sure can't I have spent the last two weeks baking banana breads, oatmeal raisin cookies, sugar cookies, toffee peanut, and ginger cookies. Tomorrow I just may make some apple cookies that I spied a recipee for.

Tomorrow I will post of pics of gifts made for Christmas gifts.

Looks like I'll be unwrapping that apron I whipped up today so I can get a picture of it.

THE FUN OF LABOR DAY

I can hardly believe the kids have been in school for two weeks already. I started classes again just this week. I had 2 classes left to finish my AS in accounting, but the criteria changed and now I have 4 left. BUMMER!!! So now my mission is to get it over with. I am currently in Macroeconomics and Public Speaking. Next is Quick books and Life Skills (can you believe at my age I have to take a life skills class? I really think I should teach it)

Anywho, Kaylee is now a first grader and Titus is in kindergarten. Both are doing very well. Titus has tested at the top of his class for counting, letter( upper and lowercase) recognition and knowing their sounds. Very impressive for being autistic. Poor little fellow missed two days this week due to a cough and low fever.

Naturally our garden is just starting to really produce and I have tons of projects, like the impending load of homework yet to arrive. I've canned salsa(2batches), green beans(4qts.), several batches of pickles, and also several quarts of summer squash with tomato and onion. Oh yes and a batch of pickled beans. Now I'm staring at half bushel of tomatoes, and a couple dozen cukes. I have a class tomorrow night, kindergarten duty friday morning and we leave for camping Friday night. basically that gives me one morning. Maybe I'll flip a coin to decide what to do next, even though I know the tomatoes are probably the ripest. Take care!!!

CAMPING TRIP

I HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY BUSY GETTING THE HOUSE AND CAMPER READY FOR VACATION. I HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN THE FRIENDS IN BLOGLAND, JUST HAVEN'T HAD TIME. WE ARE GOING THIS AFTERNOON AND WILL BE GONE TIL NEXT WEEKEND, YOU ALL TAKE CARE!!!

While his Mamma was in South Dakota on a missions trip and Daddy was at work we had him for a few little visits, the kids all had fun together!

WEEDS IN THE GARDEN

Weeding the garden is always so much fun. Especially the early weedings. It took me two hours to get the weeds out of the veggies today. It is really the first weeding since we got our garden in later than usual. We are still having 50 degree nights. I could go for a summer like this for the next three months. I know it won't happen that way though. The evenings have been wonderful.

I finished 2 swim tops for kaylee, fixed several pair of swim trunks for the kids ( they are so skinny I took them in or added elastic), finished hemming pants and many repairs on play clothes, i feel like I accomplished quite a bit the last few days.

THE WINDOW IS IN

I AM SO EXCITED I COULD SCREAM!!!

The new bow window is in place, finally after getting it home and finding it was 4 inches larger than expected. Steven had to rip out the frame work and re-frame it. Which took three extra days... Thank the Lord for his two oldest boys that came over, again and again to help us put it in. They also helped erect the scaffolding so Steven could take the siding down on the house. Now he needs to remove wood near the upstairs to frame in for the window that will let light into the hallway. Big mistake not doing that when it was constructed. Woo-hoo!!!

I have got the garden planted, made sister a necklace, hemmed hubby's pants, and am heading to do several more alterations on the kids'

clothes. I also need to whip up some swim tops, sort toys, make more bread and somewhere in there balance the check book, not my favorite task. Anyway I better hit the hay, kids will be up before you know it. Take care!!
